This novel will make you laugh.

The Celtic Tiger is in his prime and the Kerrigans are splashing the cash. They have made it big time. So eat your hearts out all you small town snobs. But Daddy’s girl Kirsty wants to be an International Celeb and devotes herself to pursuing this dream. Crashing Madonna’s party doesn’t do it.Causing a stir on Big Brother doesn’t do it. But when a video clip of Kirsty goes viral , fame arrives with a bang.  But Tracey O’Hagan, a blast from a shady patch in the Kerrigan past, has appeared on the scene. She’s mad. She’s bad. And she’s definitely dangerous to know.

This book was funny, emotional and real. Very real.
I read the first third of the book very quickly – and the balance of it even faster!
I re-read it for fear I missed something. I hadn’t missed a thing AND I enjoyed it all over again!!

Follow a family with too much money as result of the now defunct Celtic Tiger as they get into all sorts of messes. Heart warming, frustrating, maddening, and funny. Perfect for a flight if you are nervous of flying! A page-turner

Margaret Mc Cabe is a twenty-something year old virgin.   It’s Ireland.   It’s the ninteen-seventies.   Contraception is banned.   She finally does the deed with Oliver who has scant regard for the Irish attitudes to sex.   She thinks  she has found liberation but that’s only the start.

This is a sci-fi novel.

Zendan lives in Zintilla an enclosed  world of intellect and beauty.   It’s people have evolved to  have only those  parts which service their large intelligent  heads.   Then Zendan discovers that, beyond his world, there is much wider world with all kinds of creatures and he cannot ignore this exciting discovry.   But this is dangerous knowledge which the leaders  over many generations have gone togreat  lengths to conceal.   Zendo’s curiosity takes him an intense journey of discovery.

This is a historical novel based on real events.

In 1860 a group of about 1000 young Irish men went to Italy to fight for the Pope against Garibaldi.   It was the wrong side to be on.   Conditions were appalling, they got little training, poor food and  irregular pay.   Their  uniforms, when they finally got them, were  the cast-offs from  the French army and too small for them.     Then, instead of fighting Garibaldi and his rabble arm,  they had to  face the might of Piedmont, the most up-to-date army in Europe at the time.

The novel follows Patrick and his friends who join up for the Pope in the hope of adventure.   They  meet the enigmatic fire-eater, The Amazing Zendo, get into scrapes over girls,  see action in Perugia, escape  capture and get  kidnapped by bandits.
