It’s time to start publishing my books. Why am I doing it online? Because every agent and publisher on the planet told me they LOVED it, BUT…

“It’s not for us at the moment/ It’s not what’s selling at the moment.”

Or else they didn’t reply. But I still have faith .

I’ve started Googling in all directions and have came across so much information and advice that feel a bit like I did the first time I went into an American supermarket .   It was in San Francisco. I was staying with friends. We went shopping and they told me to choose a breakfast cereal.  An entire aisle of crunchy, crackly, poppy, chewy, flaky, chocolaty, marshmallowy, strawberry, raspberry boisonberry,  coconutty, exotic fruity things stretched to the horizon. The end of the aisle disappeared round the curvature of the earth.  I just wanted cornflakes.   But then what about… or… or maybe.. and then there was…or I could try… I picked up and put down ten squillion bright boxes till finally my brain exploded and I ran away screaming

The amount of advice available  on self-publishing stretches twice round the earth, if not three times.   There’s so much and it’s so daunting  that all I want to do is sit in a corner with my face to the wall and eat toast.

I expect I’ll get over it…sometime.
